Fairfax Identity Laboratories (FIL) has been accredited by the National Forensic Science Technology Center (NFSTC) for forensic and CODIS testing. FIL uses analytical protocols and generates data strictly adhering to the specifications outlined by the DNA Identification Act of 1994, the FBI approved Quality Assurance Standards for Convicted Offender DNA Databasing Laboratories effective April 1, 1999, the FBI approved Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories effective October 1, 1998, and the NDIS Standards for Acceptance of DNA Data dated January 11, 2000, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
