Fairfax Identity Labs (FIL) is accredited by the National Forensic Science Technology Council (NFSTC) and has been accepted by the National Institute of Justice as a DNA Data Base laboratory for analysis of samples for entry into the FBI Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) database. FIL has provided a commercial, high throughput, and low cost source for this service.

Applied Biosystems Platforms

FIL offers Applied Biosystems (ABI) platforms for analysis including the ABI 377 DNA sequencers (9), ABI 3100 (2) capillary instruments and ABI 310 Genetic Analyzers (7) which makes FIL now one of the highest throughput services available in the market. We offer analysis of several multiplexes on ABI instrumentation, including ProfilerPlus, COfiler, PowerPlex 16, and Identifiler.
